Happy Yalda

This night is a longer than other nights at year approximately 1 minute.

Yalda is a last night of fall and in Iran ,we have a special ceremony at this night ;special food,special fruits and special storys.

In lot of Iranian familys this night begin with dinner.Some of familys for this night have Kashk-E -Bademgan (food with eggplants).In my family Yalda begin after dinner.After dinner or for dinner ,familys come to the one house, like grand ma and grand pa's house and provide the table or Sofre for snacks.For this night ,we buy:watermelon, pomegranate,sweets, nuts,cake,Iranian snacks and other things and we drink tea.It's important that we have watermelon.We some times have frozen sour cherry and other frozen fruits like, frozen apricot or frozen plum.Every year at this night my grand ma tells special story about this night ,my father read Hafez( Hafez is a great poet in Iran and this night ,we read his poems).For long time we laughing,talking and enjoy together .At last ,we lighten candle and wish.

Iranian's idea says ;in this night ,we must eat cold things because will can pass ,winter ful of snow and cold until spring.

My Saltshakers

My Saltshakers

Many years ago my aunt traveled to north of Iran .She brought me several saltshakers.I like them .They're beautiful and made of wood.They're look  alike but  dirrerent.Every week I clean them.I like some of things that made of wood.I have a big wooden spoon,too.

Wooden things remind me forest with  tall trees,wet land ,green leaves.Land that full of dry leaves that rustle under my feet ,lot of birds that fly over my head.I hear their songs and chatter of their chickens.I can find mushrooms behind thick roots .Under the brown leaves on the land I see a new world that its big people are ants.Over trunks of full of green algae I see beautiful beetles and colorful butterfly.I must close my eyes and touch every thing in forest .I feel I can hear real voice of nature that says me...............

Oh, it's my mom's voice that says me:"Come here.Cleaning is enough."

Shahin Shahr

Shahin Shahr

When  you are arriving in Isfahan city from Tehran  you pass near this city.Shahin Shahr is a beautiful city with a lot of parks and stores.After sunset you see must  people who come for shapping .Most people of this city are from south of Iran .I think most of people come for shapping after sunset because at south weather is warm and their ancestors constrained go shapping aftr sunset that weather was

little cool.

Though, if you want to see all the young people , you'll must come after sunset.At this time ,you see lot of rendors who have a colorful things  for sell.even if you don't have a shapping ,you can walk at sidewalk, buy and eat popcorn, catton candy and other things  and enjoy of colorful things.

And at the end you must eat Felafel and Sambose with hot sauce which are special fastfood from south

of Iran and they're very delicious.   

Tower Of Pigeons

Today I want to show you interesting bricklayer.I found this bricklayer at the core of the farm lands in one village.It's a big bricklayer with a great architecture.
In the past farmers made this building for pigeons,yes,for pigeons.
Pigeons lived in these towers and farmers took excrements them for farm lands as manure.In this picture you see lot of squares that pigeons lived in it.You can see squares because this wall had been ruined.

Nowadays,farmers don't use these bricklayers and they are dilapidated building.
In some of Isfahan villages you see like this building but I don't know in other Iranian villages people made like this building or not.
Or how about other villages in world?  
If you know ,will tell me,please.
Though,in Isfahan many people don't know  about towers but some of old farmers have a little information about past that they used these towers.

Real Science Class

Last summer we( my brother,my sister and I) had a science class in village.I show you our experience
Farmer provided eggs , water and wheat for hen.

After 21 days……

Chickens were trying for new life.

Oh, it was first chicken and was wet , weak and cute.

After 2 days ,other chickens were born.

We had 7 chickens .

After 6 months , they  grew.
3 hens and 4 roosters.

this was memorable experience for us . My brother made this model of them ( a yellow hen, three white eggs and one orange chicken).He'll never forget them.

The Great Bazaar

 Bazaar is a very old name and has its roots in the old Persian Language.This Persian word borrowed by many European and Asian Languages.In Iran, the earliest reference to the word”bazaar” dates back to the 8th  millennium BC.
Isfahan bazaar is in the Nagshe Jahan Square.This bazaar has lots of places and you can find every thing for buying ;specially crafts,Isfahanian sweets,spices,shoes,pot or pan which made by copper and other things.
You also can speak with seller about Isfahanian history and they will tell you about past . At noon some of seller go at home for lunch and rest,some of them stay at shop ,eat lunch and get rest.

Baba Mahmud Bridge

I know ,you have a lot of information about bridges in Isfahan like: Khaju Bridge ,Allah verdikhan Bridge, Juie Bridge,Marnan Bridge and Shahrestan Bridge.But you don't know about Baba Mahmud bridge.It's not famous like  the other bridge but it is one of the most beautiful bridge in Isfahan.
Baba mahmud bridge seldom has a foreign visitor but native people visit this bridge much.They some times come near the bridge for wash carpet . Every day some of them come for picnic near the bridge or forest neat the bridge .

Baba mahmud was a major man.He made this bridge over the Zayande rood river for people.His grave is in the village near the bridge.
Water is cool, wether is fresh and every thing is good for enjoy of nature.

Sofeh Mountain

Esfahan is a beautiful city at day and at night.
At day, you can see Esfahan try for good life,at night, you see Esfahan that enjoy of life .I like Sofeh mountain  for mountain climbing at day and at night, for enjoy of mountain together and hike.
Up the mountain , you see all the light of city shining in the dark of the night.At night, I like to go to  near the graves who martyr at war up the mountain.I like this place very mouch ,it is beautiful and it has an especial fell.

At night you see people who come to the picnic.Som of them climb the mountain ,some of them sport at park down the mountain. familys sit on the grass and eat dinner or snack together.Admittedly they have a picnic to bring the whole family or relative together.Friday morning many people come  at mountain before sunrise.They see sunrise on top of the mountain and they eat breakfast in this place.But I like to see sunset near the martyrs up the mountain.It's sigular view.

My Grandpa

Last thursday I with my family went to the cemetery.
When I just had seven years old, my grand pa past away.
I went to the elementary school and we finished first grade.That day my school had a party for congratuations graduates,we could invaite with our familys ,one especial gust.My especial gust was my grand pa .But he could't come with me because he went to God one night befor the party.I was very sad because I liked he very much  .for long time I wa homesick and sad.But now I don't sad because I learned good things from grandpa.He told me:“every body must has a good life ,if you can help them you must help them.Hereby you can get happy and quietude for your life.”When I was child I don't understand my grandpa's remark,but now I understand and I want to act to my grandpa's remarks.
Now I'm not sad because grandpa learned me good nots for happy life ,when I use  one of the notes I can see my grand pa with his smile that says me:“I have an ice cream for you.”

Fridays

Last Friday I went to the Friday bazaar of book(I mean is
 jome bazar e ketab) It on Friday morning is conventional and famous in Esfahan.Few years ago it  was at beautiful park, but now it is in the parking garage and it isn't good. This parking has not  good air conditioner. It has a lot of contminant matters.This condition isn't good for health.
People love books and every Friday morning came in this parking and see a lot of boks for long time.They buy books ,they see their friends who come for buying books,too. People and bookseller are happy but they don't think about their health ,they just think about books.

When this bazaar was at park.People saw and bought books, they enjoyed good weather and saw their friends .At noon they with their familys or their friends stayed at park and ate lunch, read books and they spent a good time.Esfahanian like buy book from this way because they can find very old or very new books ,Youth can find books about their major ,children can find books in their age.
But now we must see books in parking whereas cars come and go over our heads.

You Know About BERYAN

Beryan is  special food in Esfahan.Esfahanian eat this food just for lunch . Beryan is rich food and fat,but very delicious. . People eat this food with a bread, vegetables, lemon, yogurt and Iranian drink,Dough.

Esfahanian eat this food together . They enjoy together , they gab together and they eat Beryan.

In Esfahan , you can't eat Beryan in restaurant, you must go to beryanie and eat good beryan.Esfahan hase a lot of good Beryanie but three beryanie is famous by the people .
I like eat Beryan at the Hakim Beryanie next to Nagshe Jahan Square.
